2024 Year in Review
We had 30 grieving families from all across America utilize Broken Halos Haven in 2024. Many of their stories were shared on our social media channels.
Man Camp is for boys who no longer have fathers to teach and guide them. At our regular meetings, participants gather with “mentor dads” to learn simple tasks every man should know and things their dads would’ve taught them (i.e. how to start a lawnmower, how to change an air filter, how to throw a ball, how to shake a hand, treat a woman, etc.). We know the development of a boy’s character is also important, so we’ll have intentional, focused time training these boys on ways to become Mighty Men of God.
Our 2024 Man Camps:
Strength and Agility Training (Redline Sports in Coppell, TX)
Gun Safety and Shooting Range Experience (Gritr Gun Range in North Richland Hills, TX)
Hospitality 101 – Cook and Serve Mother’s Day Brunch (at Broken Halos Haven)
Cool Cars and Auto Maintenance (Broken Halos Haven in Old Town Lewisville)
Ultimate Field Games (Heritage Park in Flower Mound)
Serve w/ the Honey Dudes (at widow’s home)
Survivor (at Broken Halos Haven)
How to Build a Treehouse (at Broken Halos Haven)
We had a few meet-ups for our local D/FW “Widowettes”
“The Haven” will be a place where children who have experienced the death of a parent can receive emotional and practical support through programs and events specially designed to help them move through their grief journey.
