This is Freddie and Betty. Three years ago, shortly after Wayne died, I saw this sweet couple walking hand-in-hand around the track at the CAC.
It made me sad.
It made me feel so alone.
Why didn’t we get a chance to grow old together?
But then I decided to be happy for them; happy that they had many years of memories. And with a few tears in my eyes, I stopped them and asked how long they’d been married. Freddy replied, “She’s been putting up with me for 60 years!”
This morning, I saw them walking on the track.
They still have each other and it still makes me really happy. 
Don’t be jealous or envious of what others have been given. Instead be grateful and thankful for what YOU have been given.
